Apron-drive Bridge
Apron-drive Bridge
The apron telescopic type PBB has the advantage of the wide-range movement, flexible layout, low accuracy requirement for aircraft parking, strong adaptability and can be applied in different apron layouts.
A380 Four-wheel Bridge
A380 Four-wheel Bridge
CIMC-TianDa independently developed the PBB that can accommodate the upper deck of the world's largest passenger aircraft A380, which is the first in the world. This patented innovative four-wheel independent drive technology and auxiliary support technology can ensure the best stability and efficiency for the PBB operation. It can serve both the upper-deck U1 door of A380, and other ordinary aircraft types.
T-type Bridge
T-type Bridge
The lift column of the T-bridge is fixed on the apron, and a telescopic cylinder is installed under the T tunnel. The cabin can extend to dock the aircraft or retract to the park position. The main tunnel and the T tunnel are connected in a 90-degree T-shape.
Pedestal Bridge
Pedestal Bridge
The lifting column of the pedestal bridge is fixed to a hinged base on the apron. A telescopic hydraulic cylinder located beneath the passageway drives the bridge to extend toward the aircraft for docking, or retract to the parked position. The aircraft interface can rotate within a limited range to the left and right to adapt to different aircraft positions. The canopy at the front end of the interface can extend and fit closely against the aircraft fuselage, ensuring all-weather passenger service.
Fixed Tunnel
Fixed Tunnel
To accommodate boarding operations at airports with terminal buildings of varying elevations, a fixed tunnel is typically provided between the terminal and the boarding bridge.
The fixed tunnel may also be configured as a dual-tunnel system, connecting to a transition corridor before linking to the boarding bridge. The two tunnels connect separately to the upper and lower levels of the terminal, forming a scissor-type arrangement that enhances operational flexibility and improves airport management efficiency.
Prefabricated Fixed Tunnel
Prefabricated Fixed Tunnel
To maximize aircraft stand utilization, a three-level, three-corridor prefabricated fixed tunnel system has been developed. The facility can be equipped with escalators and vertical elevators to support efficient vertical passenger circulation.
The structure adopts a fully prefabricated steel system, with welding and coating completed in the factory and modular assembly carried out on site. This approach ensures consistent quality, superior corrosion resistance, and delivers a solution that is safe, efficient, environmentally responsible, and reliable throughout its service life.
The system is designed to accommodate passenger flows for both domestic and international operations, while also providing full accessibility for passengers with reduced mobility. By segregating arrivals and departures across different levels and corridors, the design significantly improves stand utilization and streamlines airport operational management.
Optional Configuration
Fully Automated PBB
CIMC Tianda’s fully automated passenger boarding bridge (PBB) integrates 30+ years of technological innovation expertise. This integration delivers an exceptional automated docking solution. CIMC Tianda’s automated docking solution employs advanced AI algorithms to precisely identify and locate aircraft doors, ensuring millimeter-level accuracy during automatic docking. Operators can initiate the automated docking procedure with a single click either in the PBB or in the monitor center. With superior consistency in movement, stability, and reliable system decision-making, the fully automated PBB significantly outperforms manual modes. Our automated PBB effectively reduces operational safety risks, decreases HR requirements, while enhancing airport apron operational efficiency and passenger experience. Compatible with all commercial aircraft worldwide, CIMC Tianda offers flexible upgrade solutions for existing PBBs, helping airports transition to intelligent operations.
